The Fight to Get Back the Jobs

Local 372 is fighting to get the jobs of the 642 school support workers who were laid off reinstated.  This mass firing was the single largest agency layoff since 2002. There is a pending lawsuit.  We had major hearing called by the New York City Council which grilled Chancellor Dennis Walcott of the Department of Education on whether these layoffs were financially necessary. We are doing everything possible to get our people back to their jobs. You can help.

Participate in our fight against the layoffs by voicing your opinion to your legislators, by calling 311 and letting them know that you are against the layoffs, and by sending a letter to Mayor Bloomberg to let him know that you are against the layoffs.
